Abstract

Abstract

The National Data Buoy Center collects, quality controls, and disseminates, in real time, approximately six-million observations per year from meteorological, oceanographic, and water level sensors from over 500 moored buoys and coastal stations. This paper explores the National Data Buoy Center's quality control process and planned improvements.
