Editorial Policies

Peer Review Process

Submissions to EIM will be peer-reviewed to assess their quality and relevance to the attendees of the conference. In addition to the general effectiveness of communication, papers will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

* Scientific and technical soundness
* Originality of contributions
* Generality of contribution across many EIM practitioners
* Relevance to EIM attendees
* Effectiveness of paper in organization and clarity
* Degree to which conclusions are supported
* Degree to which the paper is compared to prior related literature

Program and Proceedings

The EIM 2008 Program has now been released. You can view the Program-at-a-Glance to get an overview of the sessions, or look at the EIM 2008 Detailed Program for details on all talks in all of the sessions.

The EIM 2008 Proceedings volume has now been released. Pre-registered conference attendees will receive a copy at the conference, and others can obtain a printed or electronic version of the proceedings:

 

Ground Transportation

For getting to and from the University of New Mexico, the best value is public transportation: "Rapid Ride", about 1.3 miles.
The nearest Rapid Ride stop to the Hyatt is about 2 blocks away: Route 766 at Copper and 5th (El Camino Real), near the public library. However, going west towards UNM the closest station is at 1st and Central, which is 2 blocks up and 2 blocks over from the Hyatt.

For UNM, you will want to get off at the UNM Station: Central and Yale.
Rapid Ride map

Directions from Rapid Ride stop to SUB (Student Union Building) - about 5 minutes.
Walk into campus toward the circular fountain. Turn right at the fountain, between Woodward Hall (on the left) and the Center for the Arts (on the right). The main entrance to the Student Union is ahead of you. Ballroom A is at the far end of the main level, opposite the Atrium.

Airport Shuttle service
Shuttle service from the Albuquerque airport to the Hyatt Hotel can be scheduled through

Conference Venue

EIM 2008 will be held at the University of New Mexico in the Student Union Building (SUB). The conference will be held in Ballroom A and Ballroom B of the Student Union Building. See the Central campus map for details.

 

Poster Specs

The recommended poster size is 48x36", they will be mounted on boards on easels.
